The Whole World Is a Hospital

30 Apr

Even though I spent the whole day in the hospital waiting for people to come adjust my dad, replace the antibiotics, empty the pee bag, trying not to acknowledge the lump in my throat chest stomach head, even though I went home with my mom, without my dad, and got into the small bed where I slept as a kid, even though I closed my eyes and forced deep breaths into the lumps in my body, I still spent the whole night in the hospital. And that was worse than the whole day.
